Rex Media Capital announces that Stuart (Kip) Cobbett has joined the firm as Executive Chairman
Rex Media Capital, a leading media and entertainment industry investment and advisory services company announced today Stuart (Kip) Cobbett has agreed to join the company as its Executive Chairman.
Kip is one of Canada's pre-eminent corporate lawyers with a long and distinguished career with Canadian law firms Stikeman Elliott and Heenan Blaikie. Over his career at Stikeman Elliott he had stints as Managing Partner of the Montreal office, Managing Principal of the London office and Chief Operationg Officer of the firm.
Prior to joining Stikeman, Kip worked for seven years in the entertainment industry as Senior Vice President and a Director of Canadian broadcaster and entertainment company, Astral Communications, Kip also served on the Board of Directors of Seville Entertainment with David Reckziegel until that company's sale to Entertainment One Ltd. in 2007.
